Why We Only got 65 Weapons in Darktide Instead of the Promised 70+
While many players have been enjoying Darktide since its release on Wednesday, there have been some players complaining that the game has not launched with all of the weapons that were promised in the run-up to the game's release.
In October, it was announced that the game would launch with 70+ weapons. However there have been no new weapons added to the game since the pre-order beta, which only contained 65 of the weapons.
Fatshark Community Manager Hedge, speaking to players in Discord, said that the weapons are not in the game simply because they're not finished yet.
Players were discussing the issue on the Darktide Reddit, with some disagreeing about how much of a problem the missing weapons are for the game's release.
Some players were very critical of Fatshark in the Reddit thread, accusing the developers of misleading consumers, but other players retorted that complaining so much over five or six weapons was just nitpicking.
A particularly annoying detail for some players seems to be how the game's microtransaction cash shop was fully implemented on day one, but other features such as the full range of expected weapons and most of the crafting functionality were not.
