Are you more likely to get access to the Darktide Closed Beta when you pre-order the game?

The Warhammer 40,000: Darktide closed beta is happening from the 14-16 October 2022. The developers (Fatshark) made some comments regarding whether you get "priority" or not if you have pre-ordered Darktide.

The closed beta will only be available to PC players. Fatshark said that this time they will support more players and there will be more content compared to the previous "tech test" they did. Therefore we can expect that more players will get into the closed beta in Darktide.

Make sure to not forget to sign up for the Darktide beta and don't forget to fill out the form that is sent to you via email.

Players that managed to secure a spot in the closed beta will be notified 24-72 hours before it begins.

Fatshark said in their Q&A for the closed beta that you aren't required to pre-order Warhammer 40,000: Darktide in order to participate in the closed beta. However, they also mentioned that they "recognize" the players that pre-order as some of their most "committed players". Fatshark also mentioned that they don't have anything specific to share today, but they have some stuff to share closer to the launch.

While Fatshark hasn't specifically mentioned that pre-ordering helps getting into the closed beta, it is highly likely that it makes a difference. Especially since they can check on Steam whether you have pre-ordered or not, after all you sent them your Steam profile in the sign up form.

On the other hand Fatshark also mentioned that the majority of sign ups for the closed beta Darktide test will get a key anyway this time around to see whether their servers are ready for the launch or not.
