Deathloop might finally arrive on Xbox and on Xbox Game Pass

Deathloop might finally arrive on Xbox and simultaneously launch on Xbox Game Pass in September 2022.

When Deathloop launched on the 14 September 2021 many players were surprised that Playstation and PC had a timed exclusive on it despite Microsoft owning Bethesda. This was likely due to the deal being made before Microsoft acquired all Bethesda studios, therefore they wanted to honor the already made deals.

There was quite a small hint on one of the ads that the official Deathloop Twitter account posted. It is very easy to miss and the actual ad doesn't really mention anything. 

The clue can be found in the first frame of the ad. When you look closely at the bottom it says "Also available on PC. Not available on other consoles until at least 14 September 2022."

Therefore we can assume that Deathloop's timed exclusivity will be over and it is going to launch on Xbox Series X/S and Game Pass once the date has passed.

It is also likely that Deathloop will launch with a new Definitive or Game of the Year version once it is on Xbox. The new version will likely include additional cosmetics and maybe a new game mode. Hopefully there will be cross progression between the platforms, that would be great for the overall playerbase. Especially when you try to find matches where you are invaded or being invaded.

Deathloop is showing up as a Pre Order on the Xbox Store. The link doesn't do anything yet but it looks like pre-orders will be available rather sooner than later.
