Vermintide 2 Trail of Treachery Tome & Grimoire Locations Guide

This guide will show you the Tome and Grimoire locations for the new Trail of Treachery level in Warhammer: Vermintide 2.

Tomes and Grimoires are generally required to get higher quality rewards upon completing the level, so learning the locations of the books is useful if you want to farm red items.

Below are the locations of each book, in the order that you will find them in the level.

First Tome Location

After sending the crate on its way and jumping out of the building, follow the path until you find yourself at a small stone bridge. Look to your left and you will see a partially hidden cave, which you can access by jumping across to it.

The tome is in a treasure chest at the back of this cave.

First Grimoire Location

When you have freed the sleigh, you will shortly come across an area with a large stone building, where you have to find a level to lower the bridge. Look to the left of this building, near the arching bridge, and you will see a key on the ground, near a corpse.

Grab the key and go to the other side of the building, up the stairs to the left. You will find a door which can be opened with the key you just picked up.

Go inside the building and ascend the ladders. The Grimore is found in a room after the second ladder.

Second Tome Location

After jumping down to the next area (when you have lost the sleigh), keep to the right and look out for a small hidden opening in the trees. Go up the hill and you will be able to drop down into another cave.

On the other side of the cave is a cliff. Follow the cliff edge to the left and you will find the Tome next to a dead dwarf.

Third Tome Location

The third and final tome is found in the area where you have to carry the cogs to fix the mechanism. In the tower where the levers are located, you can drop down to the left onto a roof. Go along the roof and look to the building you just jumped from. You will see the tome outside the building, resting on a wooden beam.

The easiest way to get this tome is to jump from the roof you are currently on while looking at the tome, and spam E to pick it up.

Alternatively you can do a series of jumps from the other side of the tower, by jumping through a hole in the wall onto a wooden beam, and then jumping across several more wooden beams, but it's very easy to make a mistake and fall down, taking a large amount of fall damage in the process, so I recommend using the first method.

Second Grimoire Location

The second Grimoire can be found just before you enter Tockstadt. Underneath the last bridge there is a half frozen pond. Jump across the sheets of ice to find a small cave. Inside the cave is a chest, which contains the final grimoire.
