Vermintide 2 Geheimnisnacht Event Guide 2022

Geheimnisnacht is an annual event in Warhammer: Vermintide 2 that occurs around the time of Halloween. Each year's Geheimnisnacht comes with its own unique rewards to obtain, and 2022 is no different!
This year's event will be running from October 26th until November 6th.
This guide will explain the basics of how Geheimnisnacht works, and how to obtain all of the available rewards.
Geheimnisnacht Overview
During Geheimnisnacht, Taal's Horn Keep and some of the levels in Vermintide 2 will have a slightly different appearance, with pumpkins being found in the environment and a green gloom saturating the world.
The event isn't just cosmetic though - some levels will contain an extra challenge that can be completed to unlock rewards. These levels are Athel Yenlui, Halescourge, Hunger in the Dark, Convocation of Decay and Against the Grain. You will also earn double XP during the event.
In these levels you can find a ritual circle which will be glowing green, and is generally guarded by some enemies, often Plague Monks. There are also Nurglings that gather around the ritual area, but these will not attack you - they are essentially just critters and will simply run around chuckling.
After defeating the guardians of the ritual circle, you can interact with it to release a Skull of Blosphoros. Someone in your party will need to pick it up and carry it to the end of the level. It works in exactly the same way as a Grimoire, blocking you from picking up potions of Strength, Speed or Concentration, and if the player drops the skull, either voluntarily or due to dying, then it will be lost. With that in mind, its probably a good idea for a more tanky or more experienced player to carry it.
As soon as you pick up the skull, all enemies in the level will become empowered, getting quite a lot more hitpoints. This is especially problematic with special and elite enemies, as people who can usually one-shot them may find that they are no longer able to do so.
If you manage to successfully reach the end of the level with the Skull of Blosphoros, you and everyone in the party will complete the Geheiminsnacht challenge for that level, unlocking a weapon illusion for your troubles.
Geheimnisnacht Ritual Locations
The ritual locations are fixed, meaning they will always be found in the same spot. Below are the locations for all five rituals in the 2022 Geheimnisnacht event:
Convocation of Decay Ritual Location
This one is pretty much impossible to miss - you will find it in the library area, after descending the first few flights of stairs at the start of the level.
Hunger in the Dark Ritual Location
You'll find the Hunger in the Dark ritual a little way into the level, when the cave opens out a little bit, just before you reach the point where you drop down to find the Mine Cart. Again this ritual is directly on the path that you have to take to progress through the level, so its very hard to miss it.
Halescourge Ritual Location
The Halescourge ritual can be found just after the beginning of the level. After rounding the first corner from the starting point, there is a small alleyway on your right. You will find the ritual here.
Athel Yenlui Ritual Location
The Athel Yenlui ritual is further into the level than the others. You can find it by turning right just after you enter the large open forest area. It is in the same place where you find the first Tome of Athel Yenlui.
Against the Grain Ritual Location
At the start of the level, after you have jumped over the fence, make a left turn. Head through the field and you will reach the Geheimnisnacht ritual site for Against the Grain.
Achievements and Rewards in 2022 Geheimnisnacht
There are a total of ten achievements and seven cosmetic rewards in the 2022 Geheimnisnacht event for Vermintide 2. The achievements and their associated rewards are listed below:
Culticide
Kill 250 empowered enemies. Enemies are empowered when someone in your party is carrying the Skull of Blosphoros.
Reward: Pouch of Pilgrim's Coins
To Battle Burblespue
Disrupt the Halescourge Ritual. You must bring the Skull of Blosphoros to the end of the level to complete this achivement, and others like it.
Reward: Myridia's Rapier of the Dawn and Flintlocks of Righteous Radiance (Rapier weapon illusion)
Beneath the Boughs
Disrupt the Athel Yenlui Ritual.
Reward: Myrmidia's Sword and Dagger of the Dawn (Sword and Dagger weapon illusion)
Stewed in Bile
Disrupt the Hunger in the Dark Ritual.
Reward: Myrmidia's Blessing upon Ancestral Axe and Shield (Axe and Shield weapon illusion)
Grim Harvest
Disrupt the Against the Grain Ritual.
Reward: Myrmidia's Flaming Sword of the Fiery Dawn (Fire Sword weapon illusion)
A Summoning of Filth
Disrupt the Convocation of Decay Ritual.
Reward: Myrmidia's Blessing of Dawn's Radiance (Sword and Shield weapon illusion)
The Longest Night
Disrupt all five Geheimnisnacht ritual sites.
Reward: A chest of Pilgrim's Coins.
A Night to be Feared
Complete five games during Geheimnisnacht.
Reward: Return of Blosphoros (Portrait Frame)
Blosphoros is Back!
Complete five levels while personally carrying the Skull of Blosphoros.
Reward: A chest of Pilgrim's Coins.
Terror beneath Twin Moons
Complete all Geheimnisnacht quests.
Reward: Throbbing Skulls of Blosphoros (Animated Portrait Frame)
After completing a challenge, remember to claim your rewards in Okri's Challenges. On PC you can access this from anywhere in Taal's Horn Keep by pressing O.
